Zach Rhodes

Born and raised in Frankfort, KY, Zach moved to Lexington to pursue a degree at the University of Kentucky. A friend referred Zach to our restaurant group, Bluegrass Hospitality Group, and he started working as a server at Malone’s Steakhouse in 2019 while attending school. He quickly moved into bartending and then was asked if he’d be interested in management.

With little interest, Zach said he decided to still attend the meeting because it meant free pizza and games, but upon hearing the benefits and possibilities, was more intrigued. It wasn’t long after Zach found out he had a baby on the way and decided to drop school and put all his eggs in the BHG basket. He worked as a key manager for almost a year, before being relocated to Evansville, IN, to open Drake’s in October 2020 as the bar manager. During his time in Evansville Zach fulfilled the roles of every department and said he grew, not only as a manager, but also as a father and an individual.

In February of 2022 Zach was offered the managing partner position for Drake’s Jeffersonville, IN. In 2024, he relocated to the St. Louis market to assist at a Drake's there, and returned home to Jeffersonville in September 2025. He says, “This not only allowed me to continue pursuing my dream of climbing as high as I can within this company, but also brought me closer to my family and support group. The decision I made in December 2019 has proven to be a great one. I thank God daily for BHG and the many amazing relationships I’ve formed along the way, as it truly is like family.”
